About the Author/Illustrator

Billy Simons is a decorated chicken wing enthusiast who has written and illustrated two children’s books (Hugo & the Red Balloon and The Bad, Bad Bully’s Alphabet Book: A Cautionary Tale), created a YouTube series of animated music videos for kids (look up Babbatoons) and has also written and recorded five studio albums. In an earlier life, he played shows with Bobby McFerrin, Susan Tedeschi, Phil Vassar, and Tim Reynolds and regularly played solo shows at the Bitter End in Greenwich Village. He has always enjoyed telling stories and drawing nonsense, often with an unreasonable amount of detail. He was once roommates with Mark Zuckerberg but he doesn’t really like to talk about it.
